Creating a Welcoming Environment

GreatLake Gathering is built on the principle that everyone deserves a safe, respectful, and enjoyable social gaming experience. These guidelines outline the conduct we expect from all members. We enforce these guidelines fairly and consistently to maintain community integrity.

Respectful Behavior

• Treat all players with courtesy and respect, regardless of skill level, background, or identity. Harassment, discrimination, or hateful speech toward any player is strictly prohibited.
• Avoid aggressive language, personal attacks, or insults in chat, messaging, or any platform communication. We celebrate diverse perspectives and expect civil discourse.
• Support newer or struggling players. Teaching moments strengthen our community. Mockery or deliberate humiliation will result in moderation action.

Fair Play

• Do not use bots, automation scripts, or third-party tools to gain unfair advantages. Gameplay should reflect genuine player skill and engagement.
• Exploit abuse is prohibited. If you discover an unintended game mechanic that grants unearned tokens or advantages, report it immediately to our support team rather than exploiting it.
• Account sharing and multi-accounting to manipulate rankings or tournaments is forbidden. Maintain one active account per person and play honestly within the established rules.

Content Standards

• Usernames, profile content, and messages must not contain sexually explicit, violent, or graphically disturbing material. Keep all content family-friendly or appropriate for general audiences.
• Do not use the platform to promote external commercial services, gambling sites, or unrelated third-party products. GreatLake Gathering is an entertainment space, not a marketplace.
• Spam, phishing attempts, and scams—including fake token offers or social engineering—are immediately grounds for permanent suspension. Protect other players by reporting suspicious activity.

Consequences for Violations

Our moderation team follows a tiered approach to enforce these guidelines fairly:

• First Offense: Warning and clear explanation of the violated guideline. Player is given opportunity to correct behavior.
• Repeated Offenses: Temporary suspension (24 hours to 7 days) depending on severity. Account privileges may be restricted.
• Severe or Persistent Violations: Permanent suspension and account termination. Severe conduct (hate speech, organized harassment, exploitation) may result in immediate permanent ban without warning.

How to Report Violations

If you witness conduct that violates these guidelines, please report it immediately. Our moderation team reviews all reports carefully:

• Use the in-game "Report Player" feature (available on player profiles and in chat)
• Email our support team at conduct@greatlakegathering.com with details and screenshots
• Reports are confidential and investigated thoroughly within 48 hours
